Habitat Happenings: Summer 2020

It is said that “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Over the past few months, we’ve been making the best out of a challenging situation.
  • The construction of 307 Hillside Avenue in Long Branch continued with only one experienced volunteer, following safety guidelines and our construction staff, Ron and Andy.
  • HFHMC was recognized with the Acts of Kindness award by the Grunin and OceanFirst Foundations.
  • The ReStore reopened to the public on July 15.
Most recently, the Home Dedication for 307 Hillside took place during the first week of August. For our newest partner family, Allahsha and her son, Norman, their new home is the best “lemonade.”
We are moving forward on our next home at 105 Seaview in Long Branch in partnership with Monmouth Medical Center and the City of Long Branch. As long as the need for affordable housing continues, Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County will be there every step of the way.
