Veteran Build Home Repairs Program

Our Veterans Build home repairs program provides home repair and upkeep projects at no cost to eligible veterans. Even minor projects can be overwhelming and costly to a veteran homeowner with a low or fixed income. The program relieves concerns and remedies safety and comfort issues.

Driven by volunteer power, donations, and fundraising events, the program aims to relieve concerns and remedy safety and comfort issues in Veteran houses.  We collaborate with Coastal Habitat’s L.I.F.T. (Local Initiative for Troops) program, and together we can support more veterans in Monmouth County.

Projects include critical home repairs such as ramp and rail installation, widening walkways for wheelchairs, roof repairs and re-roofs, general exterior house repairs, and landscaping. Since launching in April 2023, we have completed 6 Veterans Build projects, including several home repair projects, including the installation of two new roofs, the construction of a new wheelchair ramp, the installation of new windows, a new fence, and exterior repairs and painting. Thanks to the generosity of SRS Distribution In/National Building Supply and USA Building Maintenance USA General Contractors Corp., the widow of US Navy Veteran, Robert P. Walsh, received a new roof as part of our Veterans Build Home Repairs Program.
