Diane Kinnane named Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County

The Board of Directors has named Diane Kinnane the new executive director of Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County serving northeast and western Monmouth County. The local Habitat office, is one of more than a dozen located in New Jersey and 1,400 nationally. The organization presently serves 83% of the county. As executive director, she will lead the affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization efforts of the organization along with a dedicated core staff committed to delivering Habitat's mission to build housing, communities and hope in our service area.

"We are excited to welcome Diane to the Habitat family," said Nancy Doran, president, Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. We are confident that under her leadership, we will continue to advance and deepen our impact within the community," she added. 

Kinnane, brings more than 30 years of affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization expertise to her role at Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County. Most recently, she served as a consultant working with housing developers, non-profit management, and local governments. Through her firm, KINLEV, she specialized in the areas of community and economic development, administration, emergency management and social service programming. Prior this role, she held positions with Community Investment Strategies and President Obama's Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force. She began her career with the State of New Jersey's Department of Community Affairs where her responsibilities included oversight of community development and infrastructure efforts specifically block grants, tax credits and neighborhood stabilization. 

"I look forward to embarking on this journey with the staff and board. I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the progress the organization has made over the years, especially in the community I call home," said Kinnane. 

A resident of Little Silver, she earned her B.A. from Albert Magnus College (New Haven, CT) and a MCRP degree from Rutgers University.
