Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County was formed in July 2014 when the Northeast and Western Habitat affiliates merged to provide services to 83% of the county. In Fiscal Year 2019, we completed an affordable home in Rumson with the help of our local community of volunteers, trades people, corporate work teams and construction staff. Additionally, 8 ADA-compliant ramps were constructed for people needing wheelchair access to their homes.
As you can imagine, the effect of these efforts is much more than the construction. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
We are grateful for all our supporters who share this same vision. Together, we are changing lives through the building of strength, stability, independence and shelter.
